Meet the Board of Directors

Tanya Fitzgerald, San Jose, CA – Founder & President
Education: B.S., Counseling and Psychology, William Jessup University

Zāmar’s Founder, Miss Tanya Fitzgerald, is an established Contemporary Gospel Recording Artist. Ms. Fitzgerald studied as a Jazz Studies music major at the Phil Mattson School for Music Vocations in Creston, Iowa. She is an accomplished singer, songwriter, musician, and producer. She has traveled to Europe, Poland, and India to perform as well as conducted many Music Seminars in the Southeastern part of the United States. She has toured with and sang background and lead vocals for a number of main stream Artists.

Tanya is an acclaimed Community Leader, Mentor, Motivational Speaker, Facilitator, and Teacher. In addition to completing course work for a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Counseling & Psychology and minor in Bible & Theology at William Jessup University, Tanya brings over 15 years of ministerial leadership, over 15 years of community service to underserved women, youth, and young adults, and a vision to equip and empower students of Zāmar.


Chanté Surrency, San Jose, CA –Treasurer
Education: B.S., HR Management, San Jose State University

In addition to more than 8 years in the banking industry, Ms. Surrency is responsible for the administration of training processes in accordance with guidelines and policies at Ooyala. She provides support to the Training organization in various aspects of training including coordinating, scheduling, and hosting training events, reviewing training materials, and managing the internal Training portal. Ms. Surrency joins the Board of Directors as a highly motivated organizer with over six years of management experience specializing in customer service, staffing and training.


Tanisha Fitzgerald-Williams, San Jose, CA - Secretary
Eduation: M.A. Education, U.C. Santa Cruz, B.A. Mathematics, U.C. Santa Cruz

Tanisha Fitzgerald-Williams was raised in San Jose, California. She attended the University of California at Santa Cruz where she received both her Bachelor's of Arts in Mathematics and her Master's of Arts in Education. Because she loves to see students overcome obstacles, which tends to include math anxiety, she has worked as a high school math teacher since 2001 turning negative student experiences into positive ones. Outside of the classroom, Tanisha works with youth by participating in and helping to organize youth missionary trips to Tijuana as well as a trip for high school juniors and seniors to help rebuild New Orleans, which is still in need of help following Hurricane Katrina. She has developed long lasting relationships with her students and continues to mentor and encourage them even after they graduate. Tanisha is excited to work with Zāmar to work with students in a new capacity.


Auston Davis, San Jose, CA - Director
Education: M.S., Computer Science: Info Security, Boston University, Bachelor's degree, Political Science and Government, San Jose State University, Federal Law Enforcement Officer Credentials, Criminal Investigator Training Program, Basic Special Investigator's Course, Federal Law Enforcement Training Center

Mr. Davis is an Award-winning leader and information security professional commanding more than 16 years of progressive experience in developing and maturing top-performing organizations. He is currently Adjunct Faculty at San Jose State University teaching a course on Cryptography and Computer Security. Davis is known for identifying and balancing security initiatives to risks, business operations and innovation. He is a forward-thinking strategist known for providing technical leadership, information security prowess and expertise. Auston Davis is a trusted security expert who maintains a keen awareness of information security laws, standards and regulations and prevailing and emerging threats. Davis joins Zāmar’s Board of Directors as a results-focused, fiscally responsible leader possessing a distinguished record of achievement in improving efficiency, maximizing processes, and identifying and resolving complex issues.


Marcus McCauley, Oakland, CA - Director
Education: B.A., Contemporary Writing and Music Production and Music Business Management, Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA

Mr. McCauley is an accomplished composer, conductor, orchestrator, pianist, song-writer, and music producer. His works can be heard on the discography of several International recording artists such as Jennifer Hudson, Joe, and Lawrence Matthews. As a member of the GRAMMY Recording Academy, McCauley is a sought after musical director, vocal arranger, and string arranger. He has developed quality relationships with professional musicians throughout the country and community, with the goal of bringing talented individuals together to produce excellent music, dramas, videos, specials, and other worship and performance elements. Marcus brings creativity and curriculum planning to Zāmar’s Board of Directors.

Hands-on classes, camps, and workshops offer a student-oriented, fun, and artistic experience where students will benefit from a supportive environment under the direction of anointed, passionate, and skilled mentors and instructors.
